Hey friends, happy Monday! Hopefully you all had a great Super Bowl weekend w/ friends, family, and of course all that good food. We had a great weekend celebrating a birthday in the fam! We made this carrot cake that was ahhmazing x a million.
Talking all things polka dot today. They’re such a fun print to style that can be mixed with other prints.. Mix Match Fashion if you know what we mean! We BOTH picked up some polka dot prints that we are styling today, but we’ll also be sharing some more in the next few weeks.
Okay, truth time.. are you a fan of polka dots? They’ve been in for years now, but we’re now just kind of jumping on board! Honestly, I (Lydia) really like how I styled my polka dot top, but there’s just something in me that’s still not quite sure I’m 100% on board w/ the whole thing.. maybe it’s the bigger polka dot print that’s messing with me haha!
If you need some inspo on cute ways to wear the polka dot trend then check out 31 ways HERE.
Polka Dot Tops
Like I mentioned above, not sure how I feel about this polka dot top. It’s a love / hate relationship lol! I do know that it’s super comfy, kinda like a mix between a long sleeve tee and sweatshirt. The best part is it’s under $30.
Adding my denim jacket and fiddler cap definitely adds an edgier look to it, which I love! Makes it more, ME!
Polka Dot Pants
My latest shopping obsession is printed pants. I’m trying to change it up a little, instead of styling everything with my favorite jeans! I have to say I am absolutely loving that I am stepping out of my comfort zone and mixing it up. These pants feel great; they are silky and comfy, and I especially like the striping detail on the side.
I am 5’2″ with extremely short legs so finding pants that fit me can be difficult. For reference most cropped pants are regular length on me – haha. Since that is the case I have been looking for retailers that sell petite.

Try a trend you like by easing in to it.. a polka dot scarf / bandana or even some fun polka dot socks
If you like mixing prints try pairing stripes with your polka dots
We’re seeing a lot of yellow this spring especially combined with polka dots, so if you’re a lover of color this ones for you!
