Hey friends! We hope you’ve all had a great week so far. Going along with stepping out of our comfort zone more recently and loving us some mix match fashion, we’re talking about how to style glen plaid pants! We are suckers for some plaid print & have been finding ourselves picking it up more and more.
How To Style Glen Plaid Pants Two Ways
Just about a ton of different ways to style glen plaid pants. If you need some inspiration, we have a Pinterest inspo: plaid pants board w/ several different looks! Let’s talk about some ways to style glen plaid pants besides the ones we’re featuring today:
- dressing up your plaid pants for work with a blazer, blouse, or turtleneck sweater
- mixing prints: stripes, leopard, different plaid print
- chunky knit sweaters with plaid pants
- heels, black booties, or mules
- we’re loving the plaid on plaid look – try finding a flannel in the same color family
Tee and Denim Jacket
If you know us at all we LOVE our tees and denim jackets! Both items are closet staples for us. To see more of our wardrobe staples you can check out THIS blog post.
My pants are from Forever 21 and have a higher rise. I am short waisted and find that higher rise pants can sometimes make me look even “stumpier”. To create a longer look, I style my higher waisted pants with a tucked in shirt and longer coat! Playing with poportions can really create a different look.
We have just recently jumped on board to mixing prints and we are so happy we did. Several of our followers have stated that they love the look on other people, but they just don’t think they could actually pull it off! Let me state that we felt the same way!! Especially me (Katie) because let’s face it, I’m getting older and sometimes I think, maybe I’m too old for that trend. BUT I am here to tell you that my mixed print look is probably one of my favorite to date! In fact, I just bought a floral skirt and a polka dot top online.. fingers crossed that they look good on and you will be seeing it soon!
Let us know know if you have picked up a pair of plaid pants and how you like to style them.
