You know those weeks when you have no motivation to do anything? That’s how I felt all last week / weekend. So I am seriously struggling to write this blog post and I have no idea why! That being said, we put together a to-do list for this week and I have high hopes of accomplishing many of them.. I just need to motivate myself a little bit more, haha!
Madewell Brand Story
Monday is off to a great start though because this post is all about Madewell. Each time we walk into that store we want just about everything, which is very dangerous for our wallets!! You find a great pair of jeans and then a timeless leather jacket that will look great with a leather bag, a comfy tee, and a good pair of sneaks. That’s Madewell clothing brand in one sentence for you, they get you with all of their ahhmazing pieces!
Madewell Courier Shirt
Perfectly oversized, slightly boxy, and such a soft stripe material. So that’s why I instantly fell in love with this short sleeve button down! It’s such a versatile and effortlessly cool top, especially because of the neutral stripes. So pair it with some denim, black / white jeans. Also, a worn under a pair of overalls would work!
Also, I love that you are able to wear the courier shirt so many different ways.. front tuck (like I did), full tuck with a belt, or tied in a knot to make it more of a cropped look. They bring these shirts back each year, so that just goes to show you how it’s such a timeless piece.
Madewell Locations
The struggle is kind of real when it comes to shopping in person. So we’re always hoping for that great find when we go shopping at our malls, but honestly they just aren’t the greatest! For the most part we get most of our clothes online and then of course always seem to make a ton of returns 😉
We do have a Madewell store by us and they’re one of the few places that never disappoints. Also as we mentioned, we love just about everything there! BUT, online always has more so we do LOVE that you can shop in person and online. Because lets face it some days you just want to stay home in your pajamas and online shop.. Isn’t that everyday though?!
One other thing we really love is that you don’t just have to shop at Madewell to get their clothes, yesss! (All the links will take you directly to the pieces each place sells):
- Nordstrom: you will find a lot of the same items of clothing as your Madewell store would have
- Shopbop: has a lot of Madewell’s accessories, shoes, and bags
- Nordstrom Rack: always have Madewell’s basic crew necks, which are great

I honestly only have a pair of loafers from Madewell, but I’m surprised that I don’t have more! The quality seems amazing for the relative price point, and so many great staple pieces.
